May 2014 to End of august 2014.

Lots has happened between May and the end of August.

Jord played in the Lady Captains Day with another junior and they won.

Jord had the privilege of playing in the ISPSHanda Sponsors day at Celtic Manor on one of the ISPSHanda teams and also took part in the ISPSHanda clinic which was filmed by the BBC and Sky. He had a round of golf on the 2010 course and then a meal after in the Samuel Ryder suite.

He continued to study for his GCSE Psychology and Maths. In June he sat AQA GCSE Psychology, his first exam, at age 14. In August he picked up his result and he got a C which we were very proud of.

He has played for his clubs junior 1st team in all their matches which was one of his 3 goals for his golf this year. He also won a number of mainstream comps and got a lot of handicap drops to finally at the end of August reach his goal of a 15 handicap.

His interview about disabled rules that he gave to the Celtic Manor’s PR guy about the Principality Open was used in a number of golf papers and magazines including Fairways magazine.

He also had the privilege of playing in The Seniors ProAm at Stoke by Neyland, he played with a lovely Pro called Pedro Linhart and they had a great day and Jord played really good golf and the team came 3rd.

Jord was interviewed for an article in National Club Golfer and Golf Management magazine.

He played in the Wales Disabled Open at Brynmeadows; he didn’t have the best of rounds but did win Closest to the Pin.

Jord had Future Champions classes in Sport Psychology and another in Nutrition.

Jord was a finalist in the R.C.T. Young Sports Person of the year award for 2014.

We had the usual appointments at Camhs, ENT and Podiatry.

Jord was also a finalist in the Holly’s Ball Autism hero’s awards in the Outstanding Personal Achievement in Sport award.

He played the Tenby Junior Open using the disabled rules for disabled golfers and he won white box nett which was a huge achievement, another goal he had was to win a mainstream competition this year.

He qualified for the Club Championship playoffs which we had never imagined would happen at the beginning of the year and won both the quarter finals and semi finals and played on Finals day this weekend in the Juniors Nett Club Championship.

He had the fantastic opportunity to play in the Ladies European Tour Masters ProAm at The Buckinghamshire. He got to meet up with the Pro he played with last year Whitney Hillier and they chatted and took photos. In the ProAm he played with Sophie Walker and 2 other disabled golfers on one of the ISPSHanda teams. He played well but they didn’t place but he had a great day and enjoyed the opportunity.

He volunteered at The Senior Open in Royal Porthcawl in the Golf Development Wales tents helping kids with New to Golf and street games. He also bumped into the Pro he played with at the Senior ProAm Pedro Linhart and had a brief chat to him.

He played in Southerndown Junior Open as well using the disabled rules and had a great round until the last hole so didn’t place but did enjoy the round.

He went to see his coach aswell in the Summer break for a coaching session.

He has started two iGCSE’s ready for June 2015, he is studying iGCSE History and iGCSE Business Studies and is still studying GCSE Maths and in November sits Higher Level GCSE Maths.

He also recently had his 15th birthday and had a meal out and also cake at home ed group.
